Father's Day - Digging Into the Bible, Baptism & Bacon
This Sunday, we will be talking about BAPTISM. Throughout the Bible, water has played an essential role in God's redemptive story. In the Old Testament, we see water marking times of cleansing, saving, and purification. In the New Testament, we see John the Baptist baptizing, Jesus getting baptized, and at the very first church service EVER, thousands were baptized.
Over the centuries, some have worked to make baptism less than it was intended, while others have tried to make it more than intended. Join us this Sunday as we explore what the Bible says and does NOT say about baptism.
We invite you to join us this Sunday for this journey. We also invite you to reach out if you have thought about getting baptized but never made that step. At LifePointe, our baptistry is open for baptisms 24/7, and if you would rather get baptized in a local river, creek, stream, pond, or pool, we are up for that as well! You can also text BAPTISM to 833-320-1766 and we'll get connected with you.
We will also be celebrating Father's Day and honoring all the men at LifePointe with BACON. Be sure to stop by on your way into the building this Sunday and grab a couple pieces.
